Welcome To Choose Le Series Pre-Charged Well Water Pressure Tank .Le tanks are available in sizes from 0.16 to 3,000 litres, suitable for vertical installation.
The Le tanks have a non-toxic butyl rubber diaphragm, dividing the tank chamber into two compartments. The upper compartment contains compressed nitrogen. The lower compartment has a liner in polypropylene (PP) and is filled with water from the pump.The Membrane is the only component in contact with the liquid.
Le Series Tanks Are specifically designed for residences. It requires only a minimum of floor space and has an appliance-like blue finish allowing installation anywhere. Exclusive butyl diaphragm along with the 100% corrosion resistant virgin polypropylene liner are secured by a positive hoop ring seal for added strength and reliability. This totally integrated system outperforms other Types of water chamber designs. The stainless steel/Lead Free Brass Made air valve is welded rather than threaded to prevent loss of air pressure. The finest quality custom mill steel is used in the deep drawn dome for extra strength while keeping tank WEIGHT to a minimum. Note: all tanks are pre-pressurized at 38 psi and should always be set 2 psi below the cut in of your pressure switch. It is recommended to check tank pressure before installation. Pressure switch settings should not exceed a 20 psi differential between cut in and cut out.
Our Well Water Tanks Are Pre-Charged With 99.99 % Puried Dry Nitrogen Gas
Why use Nitrogen Instead of Compressed Air?
The oxygen in compressed air permeates through the membrane, reducing the pre charge pressure. During
normal function, oxygen oxidizes the membrane in the vessel, causing under-inflation and deterioration of the rubber.
Dry nitrogen by comparison maintains proper inflation pressure longer, will not corrode the inside of the vessel
and extends valve and expansion vessel life. Industry research indicates that oxidative aging is one of
the primary causes of decreased vessel life. Oxidative aging that is caused by the diffusion of oxygen from the
pressurized air cavity of the vessel to the outside atmosphere.
Tests have shown that if vessels are inflated with nitrogen, there is a significant reduction in failure.
How does Nitrogen help?
While both nitrogen and oxygen can permeate rubber,nitrogen does it much more slowly. It might take 6 months
to lose 2psi with nitrogen, compared to just a month with air. And nitrogen is far less reactive. It doesn't cause rust or corrosion on steel or aluminum, and it doesn't degrade the rubber seal used in the pre charge valve extending valve core life and help prevent core leaks.
